Starting Entourage
1. From the Macintosh HD icon double click the Microsoft Office X folder.
2. Double click the Microsoft Entourage icon to launch the program .
Setting up an Account on Entourage
1. To configure your e-mail account in Entourage click on Tools and choose Accounts.
2. In the Accounts dialog box, choose the Mail tab and click the New button.
3. In the New Account dialog box, make sure that the POP option is selected from the drop down menu.
Then click OK to continue.
4. In the Edit Account dialog box, at the prompt for Account name: type SacLink.
5. At the prompt for Name: enter your full name.
6. At the prompt for Email address: you can type in your e-mail address or your e-mail alias.
7. At the prompt for Account ID: type in your Username (which is your email address).
8. At the prompt for POP Server: enter mail.yourdomain.com
9. At the prompt for Password: type in your password.
10. At the prompt for SMTP Server: enter mail.yourdomain.com
11. Then click OK to continue.
Receiving and Reading E-mail
1. In Entourage, click on the Send & Receive icon.
2. Any new e-mail messages will appear in the inbox.
Composing and Sending an E-mail Message
1. Click the New button to start the process.
2. In the To: field, type in the address of the person you're sending to or to add an entry from your address book click on Address Book (the small icon on the top).
3. In the Cc: field (Cc stands for carbon copy), type in the other recipients you want to whom you want to send the e-mail.
4. In the Bcc: field, type in the other recipients that you want the message sent to but do not want to be shown in the list (i.e. if you put one person in To: ten in Cc: and 100 in Bcc: all the receivers will only see the first eleven addresses listed).
Leaving a Copy of Message on the Server
1. To leave a copy of each message on the server, in Entourage, go to Tools and choose Accounts.
2. In Accounts, under the Mail tab choose the Account and click the Edit button.
3. In the Edit Account dialog box, choose the tab Options.
4. Under the Server options, check the option Leave a copy of each message on the server. In addition to this it is suggested that you check the option to Delete messages from the server after _10___ days.
5. If you do not check the option to Delete messages from the server after _10___ days, you will have to be careful not to exceed your server space limit. To remove messages from the server, log in to Outlook on the Web at http://www.yourdomain.com/webmail
6. Click on OK to save the changes.
